Hi everybody! I guess this is my first 2017 post and also the first in a while :) As usual, my busy life keeps me from coming here more often, but I'm far from leaving this sweet corner behind. I promise to update myself in your blogs too soon. Meanwhile, let me present you my newest collection from my Etsy shop: the Mori Girls series!! I've got 2 sweet girls ready so far. I recently came across the Mori Girl lifestyle and I just love it! It almost completely describes myself and it's just adorable. Mori girl translates from the Japanese into Forest Girl. It's a look and a lifestyle created in Japan around 2010. The goal is to look as if you're living in the woods, dressing in its colors, with mainly loose outfit pieces and lots and lots of layering. It's ok to use ruffles, lace, natural materials and whimsical accessories. And that is all these girls are about.  The first in the series is called Maya. And now there's Lily too. ...

I bought this doll some time ago in a Flea Market. She was completely naked but I couldn't leave her behind. Disney Animator's dolls are so cute! And I already had Rapunzel so...what the hack she'll be her new companion. I bought this dress in the Etsy shop Rabbit in the Moon Thai and the seller offered me the cardigan. Finally the girl has an outfit or...as we say in Portuguese (using a French expression) she has a "toilette".

You may wonder what I've been doing since January and probably think that my lack of spare time is due to my small child. That is one reason, of course but now my life is an authentic rollercoaster! My husband and I are currently attending the Air Force course to enter the Sargent category! Because of that we´re home only on weekends and the little spare time for my hobbies is now so tiny that I need a microscope to see it! Anyway, please don't be scared (or please don't think I'm insane) if I post here some strange stuff. One of my course subjects as to do with Technology and Inovation and the teacher suggested the use of platforms, such as blogs. I didn't intend to start a new one just for the subject and, on the other hand, I thought it would be a great idea to grab my blog and start working on it more frequently again. So...let's start working!

2014 was an amazing, busy life-changing year for me! My energetic lovely baby boy doesn't leave me much spare time to "play" with dolls but it's totally worth it. On the other hand I feel a little bipolar as far as Barbie dolls are concerned. Sometimes I look at them and think " I don't have any time to play with them, why don't I just sell everything?" Other times it's like "well, I'll keep them if I have a baby girl someday" and them "oh my God what am I thinking? I love them how can I get rid of the symbol of my happy childhood?".....you can imagine :S Anyway, I made some great buys throughout the year that I'll show you as soon as possible. Finally I managed to update my shop , hurray! My wishlist is very diminished and almost non-existent (I do my best to not- keep up with Mattel and Disney releases lol) So without any photos of mine, I decided to open the new blogging year with a post sharing a different ...

D7ana: remember the Creata ballerina outfits that I told you about? These are all the items I have left: the discolored sticker and the shoes. The outfits were much like in the sticker: one was completely white and the other had a burgundy bodice. They didn't fit Barbie dolls very well so I sold them...

There's just something about Momoko dolls that fascinate me...not the price of course and that's the only reason why I have only a doll from this brand. Their face is beautiful, the clothing very imaginative and well made...anyway i love them. These were the last releases that I saw and left me breathless *-* The line "Home" aims to represent dolls using a "relaxed" fashion at home. Right now I'm very into doll knits that look elegant and this dress is a perfect example. Besides, the doll's hair and make-up is very sweet. This one caught my eye due to her clothing. I would kill for an outfit like this for me! I don't find the doll itself particularly pretty but that dress and blouse... They were designed by Mary Magdalane , who created a fashion brand very whimsical and pretty. What's your opinion about them?

So I was sparing money to buy a Momoko doll but suddenly, several doubts arouse in my head. In Portugal Momoko is the hardest to get and I know I would be in trouble with the Portuguese customs. I want a pretty but different doll (= no Barbie doll) and I recently came across Taeyang, which is Pullip's boyfriend. I've always loved BJD and this guy seems both affordable, customizable and very cute! Then I also found the J-Dolls and fell in love with another one (I have lots of love for many dolls --'). Both Taeyang and J-Doll are cheaper than Momoko and sold in my country.  This way I wanted to ask you which one of these dolls would you buy firstly: Momoko Milk Tea Party Taeyang Seiran J-Doll Sunset Boulevard

OK parece que o meu polícia asiático não é  uma novidade assim tão grande, eu é que desconhecia a marca. Pertence à MC Toys, uma marca já com 25 anos que se dedica a fazer figuras de acção e acessórios a preços acessíveis. Em Portugal são distribuídos pela Concentra. Descobri o site da marca e fui lá encontrar uma infinidade de produtos bem giros que nunca vi. Até veículos, kits de acessórios e edifícios!! Espreitem aqui alguns: Este kit até tem um burrito! Tenho um parecidíssimo do Action Man :) A história da minha vida... Também têm mulheres! Esta é uma colecção com vários pares a fazer equipa. Um cavalo articulado. Pescador Bodyboard Surfer. Vejam a quantidade de acessórios desta marca que nos dão tanto jeito!

Normalmente não sou fã de Action Figures, mas desta vez rendi-me. Encontrei este agente da autoridade à venda no Minipreço. Já há mais tempo tinha lá visto os bonecos desta marca e tinha comprado um bombeiro para oferecer a um amigo dessa especialidade. E nessa altura tinha ficado com a ideia de que os bonecos desta marca até tinham bons acessórios e o "ar" deles não era muito rasca. Desta vez não haviam bombeiros, mas sim dois polícias e um skater. O rosto de um dos agentes cativou-me logo, por ser diferente e muito realista. Mas quando bati com os olhos neste asiático....teve mesmo de ser. Apreciada por muitos coleccionadores, a Sindy teve um percurso bem conturbado! A Sindy é uma boneca inglesa criada nos inícios dos anos 60 pela empresa Pedigree, surgindo como uma rival à Barbie. Apesar do corpo ter proporções diferentes, era uma boneca bonita, com roupas de qualidade e que reflectiam a moda da altura, além de possuir um mobiliário bem mais realista que o da Barbie. Teve vários facemolds ao longo dos anos, mas o mais procurado nas Sindy vintage são semelhantes aos da imagem. Foi a boneca mais vendida no Reino Unido durante os anos 60/70! Depois de uma tentativa para introduzir a boneca no mercado americano que falhou, os direitos da Sindy foram comprados pela Hasbro, nos anos 90, que lhe deu um aspecto mais americano e semelhante à Barbie. Esta mesma semelhança fez com que a Mattel iniciasse um processo judicial contra a Hasbro, que se viu obrigada a acabar com esse facemold da Sindy. Tenho andado um bocado desaparecida do meu blog, confesso. O meu tempo-livre para fotografar as minhas próprias bonecas está muito reduzido e prefiro esperar até ter melhores cenários para o fazer. Mas deixo-vos com a foto deste bonequinho fofo que comprei na primeira vez que visitei o Hospital das Bonecas. É um boneco espanhol, feito mais ou menos artesanalmente e curiosamente é muito parecido com o Chou Jolie da Corolle! *** I confess I'm not around my blog for a while. My spare time to photograph my own dolls is very little and I prefer to wait until I have better sets to do it. But I leave you with some photos of this cute doll that I bought the first time I visited the Portuguese Doll's Hospital. It's a Spanish doll more or less handcrafted and very similar to Corolle's Chou Jolie ! É verdade: não sou nem nunca fui grande fã de clones da Barbie, nem das suas roupas. Mas às vezes cruzamo-nos com uns bem castiços, que até ficariam bem nos nossos cenários. Resolvi então organizar um novo giveaway, desta vez de um clone. Segundo o que consegui apurar, é um clone bem famoso na Alemanha e chama-se Sandy. Vem com a roupa e acessórios de origem, que até não são poucos para uma boneca barata. É um clone antigo, com marcas de uso. Basta comentarem este tópico a contarem uma aventura que tenham tido com clones da Barbie e depois será sorteado aleatoriamente o vencedor. Habilitem-se a esta avozinha ou, como lhe chama o meu namorado: a Rainha de Inglaterra! Válido só para Portugal :)

Foram os meus primeiros bonecos Corolle e também os meus favoritos, juntamente com a Kim. A minha mãe e avó ofereceram-me repetidos mas, em vez de trocar um, resolvi manter os dois como menino e menina gémeos. E como são asiáticos chamo-os de Kaji e Katsumi. São de 2002, têm corpo mole e 30 cm. Roupinhas de Verão e sapatos Corolle Roupinhas de meia estação. O babygrow rosa é a roupa de origem dos dois bonecos, que vinham descalços. O macaquinho azul do Kaji foi feito pela minha avó paterna. As pantufas com orelhas de coelho são da Corolle! Roupinhas de Inverno. A da Katsumi é da Corolle. Ao Kaji juntou-se um casaquinho de lã feito pela minha mãe.
