Hi everybody! I guess this is my first 2017 post and also the first in a while :) As usual, my busy life keeps me from coming here more often, but I'm far from leaving this sweet corner behind. I promise to update myself in your blogs too soon. Meanwhile, let me present you my newest collection from my Etsy shop: the Mori Girls series!! I've got 2 sweet girls ready so far. I recently came across the Mori Girl lifestyle and I just love it! It almost completely describes myself and it's just adorable. Mori girl translates from the Japanese into Forest Girl. It's a look and a lifestyle created in Japan around 2010. The goal is to look as if you're living in the woods, dressing in its colors, with mainly loose outfit pieces and lots and lots of layering. It's ok to use ruffles, lace, natural materials and whimsical accessories. And that is all these girls are about.  The first in the series is called Maya. And now there's Lily too. ...

I bought this doll some time ago in a Flea Market. She was completely naked but I couldn't leave her behind. Disney Animator's dolls are so cute! And I already had Rapunzel so...what the hack she'll be her new companion. I bought this dress in the Etsy shop Rabbit in the Moon Thai and the seller offered me the cardigan. Finally the girl has an outfit or...as we say in Portuguese (using a French expression) she has a "toilette".

One of the latest commissions of mine :) It was finished a while ago and then I realized I hadn't shared it with you folks. William Wallace and Murron, with outfits from the movie beginning. The doll used for William was Finnick, from the Hunger Games series. I had to reroot him of course. He gained a kilt and boots! Murron is a Fashion Fever Kira. I made the outfit and added a Portuguese manufactured miniature basket. It's not visible in the photo but she is also wearing a pair of small shoes handmade by myself. The thistle was embroidered to resemble the original dried plant ;) The next one is a giftset of the movie "Blue Lagoon", the one with Brooke Shields. If it wasn't for the guy rerooting it could be already finished, sigh...

You may wonder what I've been doing since January and probably think that my lack of spare time is due to my small child. That is one reason, of course but now my life is an authentic rollercoaster! My husband and I are currently attending the Air Force course to enter the Sargent category! Because of that we´re home only on weekends and the little spare time for my hobbies is now so tiny that I need a microscope to see it! Anyway, please don't be scared (or please don't think I'm insane) if I post here some strange stuff. One of my course subjects as to do with Technology and Inovation and the teacher suggested the use of platforms, such as blogs. I didn't intend to start a new one just for the subject and, on the other hand, I thought it would be a great idea to grab my blog and start working on it more frequently again. So...let's start working!

2014 was an amazing, busy life-changing year for me! My energetic lovely baby boy doesn't leave me much spare time to "play" with dolls but it's totally worth it. On the other hand I feel a little bipolar as far as Barbie dolls are concerned. Sometimes I look at them and think " I don't have any time to play with them, why don't I just sell everything?" Other times it's like "well, I'll keep them if I have a baby girl someday" and them "oh my God what am I thinking? I love them how can I get rid of the symbol of my happy childhood?".....you can imagine :S Anyway, I made some great buys throughout the year that I'll show you as soon as possible. Finally I managed to update my shop , hurray! My wishlist is very diminished and almost non-existent (I do my best to not- keep up with Mattel and Disney releases lol) So without any photos of mine, I decided to open the new blogging year with a post sharing a different ...

The last outfits that I bought at a great price were these two prêt-a-porter fashions (pardon me the photo quality, my camera was freaking out): I love this type of fashions from the 90's. First of all, because they are from the time I started to play with Barbie dolls and my mother would always prefer to buy me more Barbie fashions and less Barbie dolls. Second, I consider this the golden age of Mattel's fashions: they were cute, realistic, well made, with quality materials and lots of pieces/accessories per set. So I decided to photograph the other fashions I have from this time. These I believe are Haute Couture dresses (perhaps except the one in the middle - I know it's a bridesmaid dress and it's older than the others). I think I found these in the Flea Market! More Haute Couture gowns. The first on the left was actually my first Barbie outfit, for my Capri doll! The one in the middle is my favorite and it took a lot to get it. These are Prêt-...

D7ana: remember the Creata ballerina outfits that I told you about? These are all the items I have left: the discolored sticker and the shoes. The outfits were much like in the sticker: one was completely white and the other had a burgundy bodice. They didn't fit Barbie dolls very well so I sold them...

Um bebé em casa é uma aventura nova, maravilhosa, mas muito, muito absorvente! Com o pequeno G. por cá, as bonecas ficam automaticamente para 4º plano (ou mais abaixo ainda na lista) e consequentemente também o blog fica um bocado desleixado.  Vou tentar ir colocando notícias por cá, e para celebrar um post passado tantos meses, resolvi organizar um giveaway! Happy New Year everybody! I know you haven't heard a word from me since....well a long time! With a baby almost coming all the time I have to finish some baby projects is slipping through my fingers like water. I'm not keeping up with your blogs (shame on me) but I miss doing it a lot! Anyway I wish you all a wonderful new year, full of dolly projects and accomplished wishlist and (which helps a lot) some extra money to make all of that come true!

Another important moment in my life :)

There's just something about Momoko dolls that fascinate me...not the price of course and that's the only reason why I have only a doll from this brand. Their face is beautiful, the clothing very imaginative and well made...anyway i love them. These were the last releases that I saw and left me breathless *-* The line "Home" aims to represent dolls using a "relaxed" fashion at home. Right now I'm very into doll knits that look elegant and this dress is a perfect example. Besides, the doll's hair and make-up is very sweet. This one caught my eye due to her clothing. I would kill for an outfit like this for me! I don't find the doll itself particularly pretty but that dress and blouse... They were designed by Mary Magdalane , who created a fashion brand very whimsical and pretty. What's your opinion about them?

Este post vai ser somente escrito em Português para comentar isso mesmo: coisas giras da Mattel que infelizmente nunca chegam ao nosso país. Se por acaso eu estiver enganada em relação a alguma delas, peço que me corrijam ;) Este é o set que tenho dúvidas se existe ou não em Portugal, mas julgo que não. O Hula Dance set com uma Skipper de braços articulados e a Chelsea. Recentemente lançaram também um conjunto da Skipper com um cavalo só dela, sendo que essa boneca tem os joelhos articulados. Não seria incrível termos uma Skipper toda articulada? Estas são duas Barbies "Barbie loves Paul Frank". São bonecas de gama baixa, ou pelo menos parece porque estavam a preços acessíveis na Amazon. São simples, mas valem pelas roupas e acessórios. Barbie Easter Sweetie. Mais uma boneca simples, não percebo porque não a lançam cá, mais não fosse para vermos alguma variedade nos supermercados. Já não é segredo nenhum que a linha S.I.S. não existe em Portugal. Como ...
